Tucker, Billy Bush Discuss the Secrets of Corporate Media, Infamous Trump Tape
Issue #216 | Because he's awesome.
Happy Tuesday to ya!
Firstly, many congratulations to Donald Trump; Congress certified DT as the winner of the 2024 election in proceedings Monday. It was a great day for the country, yet another big step towards washing away the dirt and downright madness of the Biden/Harris years.
We’ll never be able to fully cleanse the country of the deep state that controls the darkest reaches of the government, but Trump & Co. leading the way definitely keeps the bad guys on the lookout, on the run.
Monday was also the fourth anniversary of the gift that keeps on giving to the absolute worst people in media and politics. The nonsense at the Capitol that day was unfortunate across the board; I wish it had never happened for numerous, levelheaded reasons.
In the sad aftermath…. The manner in how our system of law and order has tracked down, treated and incarcerated those Trump supporters who were ‘involved’ that day has been disgraceful. The word ‘disgraceful’ isn’t strong enough. The hypocrisy of this selective law enforcement is stunning.
I pray that Trump pardons every Jan. 6 defendant on day one.
The first hour of the first day.
Moving on: I haven’t seen Billy Bush in quite some time.
Back in 2016 Bush was all over TV, part of the media action. Bush is known for his many years of hosting “Access Hollywood” and, most recently, “Extra.”
Then… The month before the 2016 election, a leaked Access Hollywood tape rocked America’s political landscape. You know which one we’re talking about.
After its release, it seemed like Donald Trump’s political career was dead in the water. That’s what everyone focused on. How would this affect Donald Trump?
What’s often forgotten is that there was a second man in the tape, too.
Bush, who is unveiling a new video podcast - “Hot Mics with Billy Bush” - joined Tucker to tell his side of the Access Hollywood story, reveal why Donald Trump was such a natural fit for reality TV, explain what makes the television industry so unbelievably toxic, and more.
Memorial Church, Tucker Carlson and post-postmodern architecture
In a recent interview, Tucker Carlson launched a tirade against a grave threat to our nation: postmodern architecture.
He rails against a society built out of cement walls, fluorescent lights, and cubicles.
His solution, of course, involves building more churches. At first glance, Carlson’s hatred for modern architecture seems to merely reflect his disdain for liberal atheism. But the core of his argument, when stripped of political direction, remains aesthetic in nature: “Architecture … is the purest expression of the society that produced it. If you live in a place which creates nothing beautiful … that’s a very sick and dark place.”

Farewell to Canada’s Sun King
How could such a figure — whose ultimate mediocrity has been laid bare — have risen so far? And how is it he came to define a whole decade in the nation’s history?
Trump Should Abolish the Federal Mental-Health Agency
The incoming Trump administration wants to improve public safety, push back on progressive cultural politics, and cut wasteful federal spending. One way to do all three? Abolish the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the federal mental-health agency.
