Tucker Carlson Debuts the ‘Tucker Carlson Network.’ Because He's Awesome.
TCN will be home to at least five different shows, including interviews, short-form videos and monologues.
Happy Monday! Hello friends.
Talk about starting the week on a high note.
Better than an extra shot of espresso, our Monday commences with the debut of the Tucker Carlson Network - Tucker Carlson’s own subscription streaming service.
According to Carlson’s website, the service will cost $9 per month, but is launching with a $6-per-month promo price.
TCN will feature “unlimited access to 5 brand-new shows, speeches, films, and more from Tucker Carlson,” Carlson’s website says, in addition to behind-the-scenes footage, documentaries and the ability to ask questions of Carlson in a weekly Q&A.
Some of the content will be accessible without a subscription and will be ad-supported, while some interviews and monologues will be available exclusively to subscribers, who will have access to that content without ads.
According to the WSJ, Carlson will continue to post the service’s free content on X.
His media company will also launch a new podcast, “The Tucker Carlson Podcast,” which will feature audio versions of that content.
Carlson’s team is exploring distributing the service through streaming-TV apps independently and through X, one of the people said.
THR noted that in a video on his website explaining the service, Carlson listed off geopolitical issues like the presidential race, global migration and foreign wars, before making his pitch.
“How are you going to respond to all of this? The first step is knowing what’s actually happening. That’s not easy,” Carlson said. “Who’s an ally? Who’s an enemy? You can’t always tell what’s true and what’s a lie. Sometimes it’s hard to know. There’s so much deception. Big media companies won’t help. Their job is to manipulate you. The government? Please. When was the last time you believed a word they said.”
The WSJ article goes on to say that former White House adviser Neil Patel will serve as the Tucker Carlson Network’s chief executive. Carlson and Patel were roommates at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., which they graduated from in 1991, and in 2010 teamed up to found the conservative Daily Caller news site, which Patel still controls.
Carlson’s former executive producer at Fox, Justin Wells, will serve as Tucker Carlson Network’s president and oversee all programming.
Red Seat Ventures, a company that has helped media personalities including former Fox News hosts Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly launch their own media businesses, is selling much of the advertising for TCN’s podcast, according to the people familiar with the matter. TCN also has an advertising deal with X, they said.
I’m happy. I like it. It doesn’t seem that long ago I was bummed that Tucker had exited Fox and now there was going to be a massive, dark void in the world of honest news, truthful reporting.
It was right after the TC/Fox split I launched TCiA. Part healing exercise, part fun endeavour, part opportunity to connect with others who demand honesty and accountability from the media, politicians ... their fellow human. It was a lot of ideas wrapped up into the TCiA project. And it has been an amazing experience.
Now that Tucker is back up and running at full speed - it’s only going to get a lot more exciting to keep chronicling the ups and downs and all-around awesomeness of Tucker Carlson and his plans to make the world a better place.
The TCN website sets the tone perfectly:
Democracy can’t function in a society like this. Voters can’t know what they’re voting for. People do understand they’re being manipulated, and they resent it. The population becomes angry and paranoid. Things fall apart.
There’s only one solution to a propaganda spiral like the one we’re living through, and it’s telling the truth about the things that matter — clearly and without fear. That’s our job. We plan to do it every day, no matter what.
Time to rock n’ roll.
😀 Have a Nice Day!!
