Tucker, Prime Minister of Qatar Discuss Iran; Tucker Talks in Tennessee
Issue #244 | Because he's awesome
Hello! Hello! It’s Monday and we are primed for a big week! Hope you had a nice weekend. The time change has me slightly off-balance, but we are pushing on!
Before we focus on Tucker’s latest interview, let’s rewind to Friday evening, when Tucker drew hundreds of Republicans to The 917 Society’s fourth annual fundraiser at Glory Train Station in Leiper's Fork, TN, for a sold out “celebration of God and country.”
The Williamson Scene has a write-up of the fundraiser, which they noted brought in ‘dozens of prominent elected Republican officials and leaders including Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Reps. Andy Ogles and John Rose, and Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti.’
Carlson spoke at length about a variety of topics from the Constitution to what he argued was the lost glory of California, to his views on cryptocurrencies and freedom, arguing a point about the decline of freedom in two of America’s oldest allies – Canada and the United Kingdom.
“Freedom is rooted in a very simple concept, which is that each person is created by God, not as a group, not as a community, whatever, that is my least favorite term ever. It's a dehumanizing term. There's no such thing as a community, actually. There are individuals, community is a way that politicians dehumanize us,” Carlson said.
So, a good lead-in to Tucker’s new interview with Qatar’s prime minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, is the comment he posted on X Saturday:
Fox News is wall to wall with dead-eyed politicians telling you that Iran is a dangerous “sponsor of terror.” Softening up the base for a war. But what exactly does that phrase mean, and how does it apply to the United States? Here’s one measure: over the past twenty years, how many Americans have been killed by Iran on American soil?
Try to find that number, and then compare it to the number of Americans killed by drug ODs. Or suicide. Or illegal aliens. Or carjackings, diabetes and the Covid vax. Still think Iran is the greatest threat? How about we focus on our own country for a minute.
Tucker believes that D.C. war hawks want the American people to see the Middle East as a monolith; a conglomerate of Iran-supporting terrorist sympathizers hellbent on ushering in the destruction of the West. If the public thinks that, permanent Washington will be able to get away with whatever interventionism it wants.
Tucker says: the problem is it isn’t true. Many Middle Eastern nations have even more of a reason to oppose Iran than the U.S. and want long-lasting peace as badly as anyone.
Qatar is an example. If you believe its leaders are in bed with the Ayatollah, think again.
How does that country view the United States?
Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani joined The Tucker Carlson Show to share his government’s perspective on Donald Trump’s Israel ceasefire plan, the Iran threat, why the U.S. has a base on his homeland, and more.
